Lynched – self proclaimed "folk miscreants" of Dublin City - whose mojo continues to rise with sell-out shows and rave reviews scattered in their wake (and a thumbs up from Sleaford Mods). Their self released album "Cold Old Fire" shot them into the folk world limelight – and also earned them two nominations in the 2016 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards - Best Album and Best Group.
A four-piece traditional folk group from Dublin, Lynched combine distinctive four-part vocal harmonies with arrangements of uilleann pipes, concertina, Russian accordion, fiddle and guitar. Their repertoire spans humorous Dublin music-hall ditties and street-songs, classic ballads from the Traveller tradition, traditional Irish and American dance tunes, and their own original material.
‘The most convincing band to come out of Ireland for years!’
‘Anarchic, yet connected, rootsy and gutsy… I love their music, it is just so damn good!’
