OPPENHEIMER (15)

Christopher Nolan | UK | USA | 2023 | 180’

Christopher Nolan directs his first biopic with the gripping Oppenheimer. Between 1942 and 1946, during World War II, the US led a research and development programme (The Manhattan Project) to produce the first nuclear weapons. However, following the attack on Pearl Harbour in December 1941, the project officially morphed into a military initiative. The story follows American Scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy) who played a significant role in the project and later earned the unenviable title of the “father of the atomic bomb”.
