Oriel Mwldan welcomes artist Tom Martin to the gallery space. Primarily a printmaker, Martin’s work extends beyond the page into 3D object based art. The artists practice is highly investigative; he explores ideas of audience interaction and visual perception, encouraging participation between his work and the public. He invites viewers to explore his work through a hands-on approach and is interested in both the physicality involved in moving the presented objects and the metal stimulus required in participating. This exhibition presents a bright, abstract array of works bringing together interaction, abstraction and object based theories into a collection that can be manipulated by the viewer.
