Omar Sosa & Seckou Keita: Transparent Water Tour 2017

A Theatr Mwldan | OTA Records | Mintaka Music Co-Production

Transparent Water is an exquisitely beautiful new studio collaboration between the seven-time GRAMMY-nominated pianist, composer and bandleader Omar Sosa from Cuba, and the award-winning Senegalese kora master and singer Seckou Keita. Following the worldwide release of Transparent Water on 24th February 2017, the pair are taking to the road in together this November with percussionist Gustavo Ovalles to give UK audiences a thrilling live experience of the new album.

Sosa and Keita are both acclaimed musical adventurers with a rich heritage that spans jazz, latin and African influences, and the combination of them both on stage together is an incredibly exciting prospect.

Transparent Water is the latest example of Omar Sosa’s transcendent determination to seek new combinations, a manifestation of improvisatory freedom and the joy of shared artistic expression with Ovalles and Keita, who has recently won the Songlines Best Album Award 2016 for Africa & Middle East for his latest solo album 22 Strings alongside a nomination for Best Artist.

This production is available to book for November 2017 - please contact Dilwyn Davies dilwyn@mwldan.co.uk for further details.
