Other Voices Cardigan 2024
Following a phenomenal sold-out event in 2023, wristbands are now on sale for the fifth edition of Other Voices Cardigan, the Wales–Ireland music and ideas festival inspired by the renowned Irish music series, which will take place in Cardigan over the weekend of 31st October – 2nd November this year.
Over three days Other Voices Cardigan will showcase another glorious line-up of musical and cultural events in intimate venues and atmospheric spaces throughout Aberteifi, hosted by Huw Stephens and presented in partnership with Mwldan and Triongl.
The festival programme will be formed by three core strands: a three-day Music Trail programme showcasing the best of emerging Irish and Welsh talent, two days of inspiring discussion as part of the Clebran Sessions and the nights of intimate live headline performances in St Mary’s Church by some of the music’s brightest voices.

What does a Music trail wristband include?
Your wristband will get you into 80+ Music Trail events across the town and the Clebran sessions and costs just £35 at our early bird price. The price increases to £50 on 1st July.
Is there an under 18's price on wristbands?
We offer a low price ticket for under 18s*, of just £10. There are a limited number of these available, so don't hang about if you're thinking of getting one. Thereafter, those under 18 will need a full-price ticket.
*Please refer to the individual venues for their policy on under 18’s in licensed premises.
Why don't you sell tickets for the St Mary's Church performances?
Some people ask us why we don’t sell tickets for Other Voices Church performances. There are many reasons for this and we'll try to explain them as best we can here.
How do I collect my wristband?
Your booking confirmation can be exchanged for your wristband at the Other Voices Cardigan festival hub which will open at Mwldan the week of the festival.
Does my wristband guarantee entry to the Music Trail?
The Music Trail venues vary in size and capacity. Capacity is limited across all venues, so entry on the night will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Many of our acts will play more than once across the festival, so you will get a second chance to see them.
How do I find out who is playing?
More information about the line-up and event access will be sent out in the coming months ahead of the event. Join our mailing list and follow us on socials @othervoiceslive @theatrmwldan for details as they’re announced. For more information see www.othervoices.ie
How do I get a ticket for St Mary's Church?
The live performances in St Mary’s Church will be filmed for TV in a closed environment and as with all Other Voices filming, tickets for the filming cannot be bought.
Buying a Music Trail wristband enters you into the draw to win tickets and be part of the audience for these special performances, and is your best way to get access to a show in St Mary’s Church.
You can read more about this here.
The St Mary’s Church events are also live streamed simultaneously to a cinema screen in Mwldan which can be accessed with your Music Trail wristband. They are also live-streamed worldwide on the night online via Other Voices’ YouTube and other social channels.
A note on our pricing....
We want Other Voices to be a regular fixture in the Cardigan calendar for years to come. To do that, we need to find ways to make the festival financially sustainable, and we're exploring lots of different avenues to make this possible.
Happily, we have some of the costs of the festival covered by the Welsh and Irish Governments until 2025, but we need to find other ways to cover the full cost of the festival until then, and also to find ways for the festival to continue beyond 2025.
One of these areas is the pricing. We have been selling tickets for Other Voices Cardigan at prices that are practically unheard of for a 3-day festival in the UK. Everyone agrees they are a bargain. This year we are fortunate to be able to keep the early bird ticket price at a similar level to 2023 prices, which will remain in place until the end of June.
